In order to satisfy the customers’ increasing demand in the market, in October 2006 an investment license has been obtained by FrieslandCampina Vietnam, allowing us to build the second factory in Ha Nam Province. Located in Châu Sơn Industrial Park in Phủ Lý, Hà Nam province (50km south from Hanoi), FrieslandCampina Hanam was constructed in early January 2007 with an initial investment of USD 20 million and will become operational in January 2008. At the beginning stage, it will produce and sell dairy products with a focus on ready-to-drink dairy, starting at 45 million litters per year and will increase up to 200 million liters per year in the future. The establishment of FrieslandCampina Hanam will initially creates 225 job vacancies, most of which will be based in Hanam province.
